Hi, I’m Alexa — A Perinatal Therapist Helping Moms Feel Like Themselves Again

Motherhood Is Beautiful… and It’s Also A Lot

Most moms aren’t prepared for how intense the emotional shift of pregnancy and postpartum can be. The identity changes, the pressure to “get it right,” the endless information, the lack of sleep, the feeling that everyone else seems to be handling it better than you… it’s a lot for any one person to carry.

My work is to make sure you don’t have to carry it alone.

I specialize in supporting millennial moms in New Jersey through the real, unfiltered parts of motherhood—whether that’s anxiety, intrusive thoughts, rage, grief, or simply feeling unlike yourself.

Why I Do This Work

After walking through my own postpartum experience, I felt a deep pull toward helping other moms navigate this enormous life transition with compassion, honesty, and space to feel it all. I know firsthand how important it is to talk to someone who truly gets it—someone who won’t minimize your feelings or brush past the parts that feel too heavy to name.

That’s why I created a therapy space where you can show up exactly as you are.

No pretending.
No pressure.
Just room to breathe, process, and feel supported.

A Bit More About Me (the Human Behind the Therapist)

Outside of sessions, I’m a mom, a wife and a millennial who loves a sweet treat and the kind of reality TV that helps your brain turn off for a minute. And yes—I absolutely find myself scrolling TikTok every now and then for a quick laugh or a “wow, that’s way too relatable” moment.

I’m a big believer that life doesn’t have to be perfect to feel meaningful, and that small pleasures matter. Those little things—your favorite show, a really good meal, five quiet minutes to yourself—can be part of what keeps you grounded. That’s the same energy I bring into my work: real, down-to-earth, and centered on what actually helps you feel like yourself again.

If You’re Ready to Feel Like Yourself Again, I’m Here

You don’t have to figure this out alone.
You deserve support that meets you exactly where you are.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure who you are in this season of motherhood, I’d love to help.

My Approach to Therapy

I provide a safe, non-judgmental, relational space where you can explore whatever is coming up for you—anxiety, depression, rage, identity shifts, birth trauma, or the quiet grief no one prepared you for.

I’m trained in CBT and certified in Perinatal Mental Health, and I pull from multiple evidence-based approaches. But I don’t believe in forcing any client into a rigid model. Every mom’s story is different, and therapy should reflect that.

My goal is simple:
to help you feel heard, understood, and able to breathe a little easier.

My Background & Training

  • Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling — Monmouth University

  • Bachelor’s in Psychology — University at Albany, SUNY

  • Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C)

  • Training in CBT + additional trauma-informed modalities

This foundation allows me to support moms through the full spectrum of the perinatal experience—emotionally, mentally, and holistically.
