Support for Moms: Pregnancy, Postpartum & Beyond
You Were Told It Would Be the Happiest Time of Your Life. So Why Do You Feel So Off?
Support for First-Time Moms, Anxious Moms, and Overwhelmed Perfectionists
Motherhood comes with so many expectations — from others, from ourselves, and from the picture-perfect stories we’ve seen or heard. But if you’re in the thick of new motherhood and feeling anxious, exhausted, disconnected, or just not yourself… you’re not alone.
I work with moms who feel overwhelmed by the gap between what they expected and what this season of life actually feels like.
Because I’ve been there, too.
My Story (and Why I Care So Deeply About This Work)
When I became a mom, I thought I was ready. I had done the reading. I had the baby gear. I had a plan.
But none of it prepared me for the emotional rollercoaster of postpartum life. I was hit hard by anxiety, isolation, and a sense of “this isn’t how it’s supposed to feel.” I had expectations that went unmet — about bonding, sleep, partnership, even who I would be as a mother.
That experience changed me. It made me passionate about creating a space where moms don’t have to pretend they’re fine — where they can show up messy, scared, raw, and real.
Who I Help
I work with moms in pregnancy and postpartum who are:
First-time moms navigating unknowns and identity shifts
Anxious moms with racing thoughts, intrusive worries, or panic
Perfectionist moms who feel pressure to "get it right" every time
Overwhelmed moms drowning in the invisible load no one warned them about
Moms who feel guilt or shame for not loving every minute
If that’s you — you're not broken. You're a human being navigating a huge life transition. And you don’t have to do it alone.
What is Perinatal Mental Health?
Perinatal mental health includes your emotional and psychological well-being during pregnancy and after birth. It’s more than just “postpartum depression” — it can look like:
Persistent worry or panic
Trouble sleeping, even when the baby sleeps
Crying often or feeling numb
Guilt, shame, or feeling like you’re failing
Difficulty bonding with your baby
Feeling like you’ve lost yourself
These experiences are incredibly common — and also deeply isolating when you don’t talk about them. That’s where therapy can help.
What Therapy Looks Like With Me
This is not the place for judgment, pressure, or “shoulds.” Therapy with me is a space to:
Be honest about what you’re feeling (even the hard stuff)
Learn tools to manage anxiety, guilt, and overwhelm
Get support for perfectionism, people-pleasing, and unrealistic expectations
Rebuild your identity as a mom and a person
Feel seen, validated, and safe
We’ll move at your pace, and together we’ll find a way to make this time feel a little lighter.
